The Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 effective from 1st of April 2015 provides quite a few incentives to exporters of goods and services in India considering the "Make In India" initiative of the Central Government. Two schemes which merit attention here considering the benefits extended are Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) and Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS). These schemes deal with exports of goods and services respectively from India.
